Fissured coccyx
« on: 07 September, 2009, 12:21:24 pm »

mmhh... I lost contact with one of the pedals while trying to accelerate (sandals on atac clipless pedals...), and I fall with my coccys on my brooks saddle...

I went to the doctor, then to get an x-ray of the area...which apparently show a fissure in one of the bits of the coccyx.

Has anyone had any similar experience?
How long did it take to recever? It doesn' hurt much, and only at the end of the day (I sit at my desk all the time), but it's no a good 6 weeks after the accident...

I'm going back to my doctor later this afternoon, he said he may need to do a "manipulation"  to put the coccyx back if it is displaced... he roughly explaine what that implies, and it didn't sound good  :o

Ah yes, I remember. You can manipulate the back and the front of the coccyx...
It is simpler than it looks.
