Bikeroutetoaster tutorial

Can anyone please point me at one?

Although it looks good and seems easy to plan a route, I'm just not getting it and the help files are kind of sparse.

It might be worth trawling through Frank Kinlan's blog.  It introduced me to the bewildering world of Garmin.......  It might be a bit of a trawl through old blog posts but there is a wealth of knowledge in there.

I'm not saying I know it all, but I use brt a fair bit, and it all works, so if you want, and subject to me being in, I would be happy to talk you through the basics one evening..

No good tonight, tomorrow or Saturday cos I'm packing for this long weekend's extravaganza = away wiv trailer 200 k on Friday, do calendar event without trailer 200 k on saturday, home again wiv trailer 200 k on Sunday...

Maybe one night next week though, or by all means PM me as many questions as you want

I’ve decided I’m not old. I’m 25 .....plus shipping and handling.

That is incredibly generous of you bent-mikey.

I like the look of the thing (it seems the best in many ways) but am somewhat puzzled by some basics.

I'll try and fiddle with it some more over the weekend so that my questions are in some sort of order and then very probably get back to you.

thanks again

Wow - cheers John - that's way better than anything I could do, and I shall be reading it with a view to improving my own efforts

Is there any way of reducing the number of trackpoints in Bikeroutetoaster?

I have an older GPS that has a max of 125 trackpoints on a route, so I use Bikehike for reducing other people's routes to suit my GPS.

However, Bikeroutetoaster allows sharing of routes and gives more sensible elevation detail than Bikehike.

I am also using EasyGPS software to communicate with the GPS unit as the Garmin software does not reliably find the GPS device.  >:(
