As a complete newbie at this how far before does the route get sent out? Is there an E-Brevet code?

Hi Stuart, route checks completed and hoping to share the GPX / routesheet either today or tomorrow.

No, but I'm not too worried because I wasn't planning to leave home for the event for another week or so ;D

I must be going senile.

I had it in my head that it was this Saturday.  Just as well I have a diary and got the right date in it!

Got the details now anyway. Which is good, because I love maps, and sometimes spend longer looking at routes on them than it actually takes to ride round on the day ;)

I'm not sure there's a requirement to do that. The brevet card will have them. There are various obvious potential short cuts, e.g. avoiding Compton and Elm Bottom Cross, so if pushed I'd bet on controls to enforce passing through those. Will be fun to find out ;D

I'm hoping one of the controls is in the brewery (and that they do delivery) - I want to do my Xmas shopping on the way around.

Yes. Receipt required from the brewery.
I rode this one in June last year when it was called something else. Planning to ECE it but weather forecast is currently for it to be rather wet.

thank you an enjoyable ride, and there was hardly any rain, much better than had been forecast a few days before. Bonus having 2 BCQ points on the route to collect, and another one a small detour away. Nice to have a curry at the end.

I had forgotten riding the same event last year under a different name. I didn't realise until the second half, as I didn't remember much of the first for some reason. But yes, a really good day out, even if the road were, to use the term from the old Norfolk Nips events, pretty "skoggy".

I cleaned my bike for the occasion on Friday night. Now it's worse than before ::-)
