Is that a repeat?  I'm sure I've seen something similar before.  Probably twice.

I thought it a little disappointing. Talking over the music; the segment on how female guitarists suffered abuse - that certainly has a place in music history, but not as part of a program on guitar riffs. Oh and I don't think Layla was covered.

Yup, definitely.

Sky Arts & BBC4 seem to run these kind of shows on a loop. Still enjoy 'em though.

Apropos which, Lt. Col. Larrington (retd) and I were taking our lunch in teh Pubbe, as is our wont.  Music: tinkly acoustic guitar, reedy female vocals reminiscent of Ane Brun singing through a long tube.  Wait,... what! I recognise those lyrics.

I do not know who was responsible for that version of "Seven Nation Army" but I want them caught, I want them shot and I want it done yesterday >:(

Here's a cover of the Bass line from "Rain" - The Beatles.

It an example, if one were needed, that Paul McCartney was not just a pretty face.

Bass, like drums*, get overlooked too much but , when you're up dancing....that's the Bass line wot dun that.

When Paul was 19 he was playing this whilst singing.....and my parents were dancing.

*Don't get me started on the idiots who say Ringo wasn't a good drummer.

Basically I love Bass lines that stand up on their own.
Some people say I'm self-obsessed but that's enough about them.
