It’s been quite some time since I went to Monument - can you bring a bike through there ok (from District Line to street)?

Yes, but no lifts. Stairs to ticket hall, then some more to street level. I'd suggest exiting to the Monument itself - right out from the station, right onto the road, left onto London Bridge.

Thanks. I’ll ride over to the start if it’s only me but will take the Tube if +1.

For future reference with the Underground - the rule of thumb is that bikes are allowed on the "shallow" lines other than between (I think) 0700-1000 and 1630-1900 M-F. So that's all of the District, Metropolitan and Circle lines and the likes of the Central line where it's outside (e.g. Epping to Leyton on the eastern side and beyond about Shepherd's Bush on the west)

Cannon Street might be a bit quieter to get in and out - the next station west.

Thanks all.
The proposed trip is on a Saturday morning so hopefully it won’t be too hectic.

Well, so much for that - weekend engineering work means the simple District Line option is out. I shall ponder the alternatives. Are SW Trains OK with bikes at the weekends into Waterloo?
