Email notification weirdness
« on: 02 April, 2018, 03:35:21 pm »
My YACF email notifications frequently stop arriving. I've found that I can fix it by changing my email address to a different one. Fortunately, I have an unlimited supply, because my ISP gives me an email domain of the format @myname.myisp.co.uk, and it doesn't really matter what username I put in front of the @ - and I'm set up to collect mail from any of those variants.

So, if I change that, notifications will arrive for a few days, and then stop again, till I swap to another new one. It's not my local spam trap (I've checked). It ought not to be DKIM, SPF or reputation systems, because you'd think that they would not be so affected by the specific username I'm using in the email address.

Any ideas? Obviously I can try my ISP.

I'm using Tapatalk, but its notifications just annoy me. And notifications from other forums come through just fine.

My AV software interferes with email occasionally particularly when related to anything concerning banking/payments.
