Cascade 1200 registration closing in a few weeks

Passing this on from organizer extraordinaire Susan Otcenas: (and hoping to see you at the finish here in Snohomish)

Friends,

The Cascade 1200 still has open spaces!   Registration closes May 31st, so interested riders should not delay.

This Grande Randonnée showcases some of the most scenic riding in the Pacific Northwest and riders from outside the area are encouraged to join us.

Our route this year begins beneath Seattle’s iconic Space Needle, passes by both Mt Rainier and Mt St Helens, visits the Columbia River Gorge along the Oregon border, traces the coulees and scablands of Eastern Washington (an incredible landscape carved out by the great Missoula floods of the last ice age ), and climbs over iconic Washington Pass in the high North Cascade Mountains. To reduce traffic and complicated routing at the end of the route, riders will finish in Snohomish, Washington, a short distance from Seattle. (We’ll provide some options to get riders back to Seattle the next day).

The ride fee covers dinner, lodging, and breakfast at three overnight controls, a sleeping facility at the finish, an event tee shirt, finisher's medal, a real time on-line tracking system for friends and family to check the riders' progress and more. Each rider will be required to carry a SPOT tracker, which is included in the ride fee.  Discounts are available if a rider brings their own.

For more information about the ride, route, and requirements, please visit: http://seattlerando.org/C1200/ or reach out directly to our organizing team at casca...@seattlerandonneur.org

Remember, registration closes May 31st, so register now for your opportunity to ride this spectacular event.
