Tipping down all day.  10°C outside & 16°C in my living room.  I've given up & turned the heater on for a bit.

Amber warning of sogginess for Furryboottoon  :hand:

Extended to 9pm tonight.

There's been a fair bit of flooding in the City and Shire.

Blimey.  Ceredigion Council have said they're sending the gritters out tonight.  :o
Admission.  I'm actually not that fussed about cake.

Ditto Somerset.

We haven't had gritters here but it's been down to single digits. Just the day to go for a "sculpture walk" with a friend whose natural pace is about half mine and to not wear my winter coast. Brrrr! But they paid for lunch so it's not all bad.  :D

There might have been frost rather than condensation on the shed roof this morning, but I couldn't be bothered to take a closer look.

Briefly the sky went a funny colour of grey and a mysterious orb of light and heat appeared.

Salt spreading on the M4 (English parts at least) last night. Seems a bit over cautious but they normally are.

It's raining.  And the weather apps on this gadget are unanimous in their op!on that it will do so all day.  And I can’t use the Fast-Appreciating Future Classic to go shopping coz its MOT expired last week and I haven’t yet booked it in for a new one.

It's pissing down.  I was sitting at my desk & noticed a strange, repetitive noise.   Bugger,  I've got water dripping down from the wall above my rear window.    This is just below the roof for this block of flats.   Managing agent says he'll send someone to take a look when it's stopped raining....

8mm so far here today in NW London.

It's been raining a lot in London (and South East) for the last few weeks.

Dry all day here. ;D We did get a lot of rain on Friday, though.

Pouring down all day from about 08:00.  To the extent that roads which normally do not flood were filling at the verges necessitating use of the alternative commute which avoids the completely flooded roads.

Mildly surprised that the underpass at the Crooked Billet was unflooded today but otoh it is ankle-deep in leaf chutney.

Rain is a bit mad out there. Every time I think it can't get any heavier, it does.

ETA: Pingu says it's hailing now.
And a flash of lightning and a really close clap of very loud thunder. Hopefully that's it now.
Do not clench. It only makes it worse.

The flood gates, which close some of the roads across the Somerset Levels, were closed on Wednesday and I've not heard that they have been reopened yet.
Could be a long wet winter at this rate.

“Ha!” said Mr Larrington as the first few drops of rain fell on his head just as he was locking the Sheds after returning from Mr Sainsbury’s House of Toothy Comestibles.  “Bright idea of mine to get the shopping done before it starts chucking it down!”

1 hour later and it’s glorious sunshine outside.  Bah!

Dear absolutely everyone.  Every year.
The weather forecast has mentioned snow.
In Scotland.
At a significant number of meters above sea level.

Why do you keep saying that it will snow tomorrow?
It won't.
Admission.  I'm actually not that fussed about cake.
