Hurrah!  The motel that serves as event HQ in Battle Mountain has not been fully booked by the Orange Hordes!
Bah!  They're only taking bookings by phone this year and with an eight hour time difference it goes on my bill, not the BigCo's.

Good news - bobb and I are in Portree.

Bad news - the weather is so very very awful we don't want to leave the b&b.

Oh, dear.  Perhaps you should find something to do indoors.

Back in my day, we had to make our own entertainment. ;D

That thought did cross my mind, but then I realised she'd said B&B, so they might have hours they have to be out. :(
Getting there...

The milkman seems to have delivered full cream milk instead of our usual semi-skimmed. NOM!
I'm supposed to be losing weight.
(Actually 11 grams more fat per pint won't make much difference...)

Good news - Marin will honour the lifetime warranty

Bad news - as it's 4 years old and discontinued, it ends up as the current model 29er, not an advance in my view, and loses the carbon fork. I may sell and buy a replica of my model.

Good News - Mrs T's Carlton is all ready to be prepped and resprayed, and will have a sparkling NOS headtube badge when we get it back.

Bad News - My Carlton is not worth sorting (due to the expense of replacing BB shell or re-tapping threads etc), so no N+1 for me, only for Mrs T.

All this was discovered during a very informative chat I had over the phone with Mr Yates.

Good news: the LBS had a Tubus 'Logo' rack in stock - at last, I thought, a rack worthy of Pugsley.
Bad news: the bloody thing doesn't fit - the sides of the rack slope inwards and Pug's tyres get in the way.

Possible good news as a result of bad news: I might have to get a Surly or Old Man Mountain rack instead :)

I think this is the first time I've had to return anything to the LBS ...

Good news. I was able to ride to my parents for Sunday lunch (5 miles each way) without it leaving me feeling like I'm made of jelly, so whatever bug has been bothering me all week appears to have gone.

Bad news. I've got a sore throat starting  :(

Good news ;I managed to overcome the ICBA curse & went out on my bike.

Bad news; it was a 'mare.

I'm really struggling to avoid the decision to knock it all on the head.

Two punctures didn't help.Neither did the fact that the lbs didn't have what I wanted

Why was it a 'mare?

You can't give up.  You said you would ride with me this year.   :(

Good news: I slept for nearly 14 hours last night/today and felt a lot better for it.

Bad news: I went and did my horsey chores (took me nearly 2 hours to do 1/2 hour's worth of stuff) and am now freezing, lightheaded, coughing up 3 or more lungs and bone-wearingly tired.   :-\

Jogler, hope tomorrow is a better day.

Why1040, sounds like you're still unwell, hope you can get home and rest as much as possible some more.

Yep, home, just out of a VERY hot bath for steam-cleaning lungs and warming up purposes and pondering whether I have enough energy to go downstairs and actually make myself some food or I should just have another Belvita breakfast biscuit and a fruit puree...

And eating chilli chocolate, because it's there!

Good news: whilst searching for a roll of sellotape, I found a fiver on my desk.
Bad news: despite being in the position whereby I could now by several rolls of sellotape, I still can't find the roll I'm sure I left on here at some point.

Seems that the universe isn't quite finished with me yet.

Put the fiver away, than start looking for it on your desk. You'll find the tape, if you can be convincing enough that you're looking for the fiver...

Sod that, I'm going to keep looking for the tape just in case I find any more fivers :)

Careful, if you find any more fivers, you'll have to buy a round at the pub tomorrow...

Good news: It's my birthday - it doesn't happen often - apart from today's I've only had 13
Bad news: went to the fridge to find (or more accurately) not find my lunch.  Some bugger's eaten it!

Very good news:  There is CAKE lots of it!  ;D ;D ;D

Happy Birthday CptBob I've never met anyone who I've known to have a 29th Feb birthday - my mum wanted to have me on 29th (I'm 27th) but the docs said no.

Hope you have plenty of CAEK to make up for the missing lunch!
