Good news: as of this morning's weigh-in, I've now lost a stone over the last 6 weeks

Bad news: the low-GI diet, whilst obviously doing me some good, also means that certain things are off-limits at least for the time being. All of which means I could absolutely bloody murder a curry. With rice and chapattis  :-\

Good News:  Best month ever for the business in May!
Bad News:  Our printer has gone kaput.  It shed a spring from an unknown place.  Of course all the new HP ones now take a different sized cartridge and....we only just put a new £90 black cartridge in the old one. Oh joy!

Bad news?...... er, no - that is all.   ;D

I found that I am considered yummy by anything that bites.  My friend, who a pharmacist, suggested Vit B and garlic tablets.  I have found it works for me.  Apparently butting insects don't like vit b or garlic.  I'm not bitten half as much now and my weekend home is by a pool, so lots of miges.

Good news: the appartment block opposite has put up bunting and a flag in my absence, very jolly.

Bad news: the flag is upside down

Good news: just been out for a most enjoyable spin round the lanes.
Bad news: forgot to check my blood sugar before I left ... oops!

Good news: I've got into the habit of carrying my 'hypo kit' with me.
Bad news: it was cold enough to warrant a merino base layer. In June, FFS ...

Good news, have ordered some new HDDs to rescue the file storage box, and they will be with me tomorrow

Bad news, the Popcorn Hour's HDD has now given up the ghost :(

Good news, it wasn't the HDD, it was the PSU

Bad news, common consensus is that you can only get them from PCH in the US, for $27+$35 shipping (and customs cost)

Good news, I have found that PCH in France has stock of them for £45 including shipping :)

Bad news, possibly, it will maybe arrive whilst I am in France :(

I thought of that AFTER I had ordered paid etc.

Not to worry, it'll be a job to do when I get back (but if it arrived before Friday I will be fitting it so Mrs T can catch up on films etc whilst I am away :)

Good news:  I entered a Calendar 200km.  Not for the first time, but it will be the first time I've completed one - if I do.  Really want this.

Bad news:  Every other time I've entered a calender 200km, I've fallen over.  This is why I've not yet completed a Calendar 200km.  Still got a bone in me arm from the last time.

Hoping to break my duck, rather than my body.

Bad news: I can't go cos we're in France on holiday. Bollox  :'(

Good News: got a call from the free school meals lady at the council to tell me all the boxes are ticked and the childers will be getting free dinners on Monday. Being lazy wotnots they've been looking forward to this so they don't have to make their own sandwiches.
Bad News: they won't get them, I've only gone and got a job

Good news: we can have dinner on the company next Thursday night
Bad news: it's a Chinese buffet and there is no way I can risk that before the Dun Run.

Bad news: I will probably lose my job in a month or so.

Good news: I shall have the whole of August to myself with the kids flying off to Hungary. Last year was bliss.

Good news:  Not at work today.
Bad news:  No commute.

Bad news:  My dental appointment in Lampeter has been cancelled.
Good news:  I'm going to ride there anyway.

Bad news- my poor doggies have found themselves locked in unintentionally by their dog flap for the past 24 hours. I failed to interpret their attempts to gain attention as the potential toilet-emergency that they were. Their water bowls are outside too!

Good news- although they have pissed on some dogs beds in the kitchen (which I stood in), they haven't crapped anywhere  ;D

Good news that 6 yo Doberdog doesn't need a cruciate ligament operation that we were referred for yesterday

Bad news is she's got a tumour on the joint, being put down @3:15 today after we brought her home for Mlle Lagaffe to say her farewells.

RIP Portia
