Bad News: the Velcro parted company with the strap on my ski boot.

Good News: went into the ski hire shop to ask where I could get a replacement, he rummaged in his box of bits and found a strap which he gave me for free!

So a big  to Cham Sport

I know you can tell me when we go to Normandy, but whyso?
Besides, it wouldn't be audacious if success were guaranteed.

I've managed ZERO preparation so far, even commuting has been pitiful.  Even if weather turns nice and work eases up, I won't be able to start any proper training until mid-May.  That's not enough time to get from my current state to where I need to be, so I'm doing the sensible thing.

I'm gutted, but this way I won't find myself in the position of starting know only a miracle would get me around in time, and my spot can go to someone who might actually stand a chance.

Guess training for PBP starts now...

Oh dear. Oh dear. Oh dear. Er, not sure how to put this. Apart from the monthly RRTY, I am in the same boat. Am hoping once family funeral is out of the way this week, and the York-Hull ride with the ride back to London afterwards at the end of next week, my unemployment state means I will have the time to train.
Besides, it wouldn't be audacious if success were guaranteed.

Good news:

the For Sale board is up, the brochure is not bad at all, and I can't wait to move house.  Also someone's coming round to clean the house for me so I'm not too ashamed to have people look at it.

Bad news:

still can't breathe and have another week off sick to look forward to (although seeing my dishy GP is always a bonus).  I'm so bored.  And my air tubes are sore.

Two for the price of one!

1)
GN: a lot of people are showing their true colours
BN: a lot of people are showing their true colours

2)
GN: I will be AT the Tweed Run
BN: I will not be ON the Tweed Run
(Never got a reply to my offer to help marshal the ride, but I will be helping with registration in the morning.)

1) That's bloody nasty. Old, ga-ga, harmless & irrelevant - why do you take pleasure in her death?
2) Yes, that's annoying.

BN: I drove today cos it was raining a lot when the alarm went off and it looks like I need to drive tomorrow as well now.

GN: I need to drive as it looks like all the bits for my new dyno wheel should be arriving at work :D Except I forgot one thing, I did not order a spokey  But I have a multisized one (only hold two sides of the nipple though) I can use for the initial lacing/tightening and then get a decent one at the weekend.

For stir fry also add mushrooms, chopped peppers and mange tout.   Starting with garlic and strips of chicken with the onion you can also cook some pasta as well as add mascapone, grated cheddar and single cream for a truly rich and tasty meal.   :)

Good News: Delighted to see lots of white aerosol paint on the surface of the moon Westferry Road (Part of my commute) which is pock-marked, cratered and pot-holed like the aforementioned natural satellite, to the point where the bad bits outweigh the good bits (thank christ it's now light when I'm going along there).

Bad news: Man with a bucket O' tar remedy has been applied.
Man also had a road roller either with with no weight to it or with moguls built in to the profile of the drum.
Or both.
Or he just didn't bother rolling it.

Well done LB of Tower Hamlets, no really, superbly well done.
You probably think this measure will prevent the sprained ankles and subsequent law suits when the London Marathon takes place along that road on the 21st of this month.
It won't prevent the former.
You've chucked money at it and it is just as $h!t as it was before and, in places, worse.
You do this every year.
Congratulate yourselves.

EDIT: Sorry people. Somehow this has turned into a bit of a rant. I could not help myself.
