GN ; The recent stem fettle on the tandem has given me the desired more upright position thus alleviating the neck ache previously "enjoyed"

BN ; The recent stem fettle on the tandem has given me the desired more upright position thus
placing more weight on my sit bones. There will be,for the foreseeable future,no sans padded riding in order to avoid Tyranosorearse symptons.

GN: my distance vision is still "exceptional"

BN: My near vision is, as the optician put it, "maturing". I've known this for a while, tbh, but I've just forked out £135 for the privilege of making it official. Pah!

GN: A very kind friend, who lives in Leftpondia, has sent me a care package containing BBQ sauces, rubs and a Kansas City Barbeque Society book.

BN: See GN, my waistline may well suffer over the next few months (and my bank balance as I think about buying a smoker large enough to cook pork shoulder in)...

fantastic!  My brother got married in Kansas a couple of years ago and we had our pre-wedding-lunch-with-my-kid-brother at a roadside bbq place, sitting under a tarpaulin roof at plastic tables with paper plates and it was one of the best meals I've ever had!

BN: It has been three weeks since I ordered a XLR / 3.5mm jack adaptor. Still no sign of it coming. No one else seems to have them in stock either. I hadn't realised it was such a weird thing to want.

GN: In less than three weeks Alpkit have made and posted the bag I ordered.

BN: The leather patch on my Barley came unstitched.
GN: An email to Carradice received an extremely swift reply saying if I sent it in, they'd mend it.
BN: It could take them three weeks.
BN: I need it before then.
GN: A shoe repairer was able to mend it.
GN: For a whole £2.50.

BN:  I accidentally ate an important part of one of my molars yesterday afternoon.

GN: Rumours of a dental surgery accepting NHS patients up on the Raddlebarn Road weren't exaggerated.

RGN: They dispatched a family of smalls with healthy teeth as I arrived, and by the time I'd completed the form-filling were mostly bored and complaining about health & safety[1], so the dentist had a look and botched my tooth back together with yet more filling there and then.

[1] Apparently they'd just had a bollocking for having no entries in their accident book.
