missed it /18/2 :-[
12/12/0
I got distracted. Or I'm just crap.
Working with the accountants this morning. Really, I should arrange mydiarylife better.
18/18/2.And again. Nice to be consistent.
no radio.Again.
Really. No Ken, but on for Vine? Cruelty, that is.
I keep missing some questions..
9/12/3
At least I hope that's why my totals are pants at the moment.
Yesterday I only heard the first contestant. I was embarrassed for her. Bless.
Didn't get a single one of the bonus questions in the second round :-[
WTF?I just listened to it on iPlayer and I got 18 the first round. He had stupid bonus questions, but still, how can you get 0? 30 on the second round. 2.5/3 ;D
6/33/1
That first round was tough!
That changes things. ;DIs it on listen again?
We have gone all Classic FM.
Words cannot express my distress.
it demands a lot more concentration than I can perhaps give it.I've had this for the last couple of weeks.
TG, I think you are excused Champions League. ;D
This is getting seriously hard, and it demands a lot more concentration than I can perhaps give it. Today's contestants got 44 & 48 respectively in this round (scoring is too complex to explain unless you really want me to go into it). I got 11 & 22. They've been impressive all week, but today's two have shot to the top of the leader board. Astonishing knowledge.
There's a J Sabine currently competing. I wonder...

21/24/318/27/3 ;D
1) The group A Taste Of Honey had a top 3 hit in 1978 with which song?I didn't get either right and didn't get through. Just as well, because I got 18/24/1 and got a thorough drubbing by both contestants...
2) Besides Temptation, name any of the 1980s UK chart hits for Heaven 17
Good luck for future. Boogie Oogie Oogie, indeed! Who should be forced to dredge that dreck from their memory?
And I won't have a word said against Heaven17! They're from Sheffield, you know ;)

24/33/3+didn't hear it/36/3+
Missed it/30/not sure, at least one, but the contestant got through so fast I didn't have time to thinkWow, impressive, EG. I was completely stumped by the second lot of questions (I guessed the wrong Spandau Ballet song on the easy first question, and it didn't get much better than that... As for the Harry Webb bonuses, that was 18 points written off from the get-go; though I should have recognised ONJ's voice, I'd never heard the song before...)
Missed it/18/2.21/27/1
18/15/1missed it/30/missed it
30/15/2. Weird sets of questions.Didn't hear either set of questions but got 4 Billy Ocean songs no problems...
27/21/4:thumbsup:
18/18 as far as the 2nd bonus question and then the phone rang/3Damn that infernal phone! I got all the first six questions on the second round, then the printer started rattling frantically... :demon:
15/18/024/21/1
15/27/124/18/3 (yesterday's questions - yes, I'm sad enough to have iPlayered it) ;D
Yesterday, 32/36/3. Nice shout out for YACF, EG!
Today, 39/15/1
Crikey, how did Carol get on this morning? Do you think that sometimes the researchers put certain contestants through for a giggle?

I listen every day in the shop. Sometimes people say I should have a go*. EG will confirm but I'm pretty sure you need to answer a set of questions off air before the contest proper. Occasionally you get someone like Carol, today, who gets caught like a rabbit in the headlights and ends up tongue tied and unable to think. You find yourself shouting the answers in the hope that she'll get some inspiration from somewhere . . .
*NAFC! I'm pretty sure it would be embarassingly difficult.
15 (from first 4 questions, then zilch)/24/1
For those who missed it, one of the questions was who sang Barcelona. The contestant's answer was Freddie Mercury and Madame Cholet.
Good one! I guessed Dave & Ansil Collins, though I should really have known...He was no.7 in the charts on 7/7/77, apparently.
I missed part of the question: What was the Kenny Rogers connection to the subject 'Sevens'?
24/22/loadsSlightly ashamed to get the question about
Second anniversary today of my appearance on Popmaster! He said he's been going to a music quiz once a week for the past n years. I think it showed.
15/36/2 (Ocean Colour Scene)
The second contestant today was very good - dead confident with the year (I was two year out...)
Presumably you have seen that Popmaster is moving to Greatest Hits Radio in April when Ken departs the clutches of the Beeb.:'( Only really listen to Popmaster, and usually on catch-up, so I don't think it'll change things greatly.
