I can only hope that the court judgement today will have a moderating effect on social media nastiness.

Somehow I doubt it.

And she's back and twatting tweeting.

Vile faecal smear on the arse of humanity argues:
1. Twitter can't be libellous.
2. She's a twat, and that's what twats do, so it can't be libellous.

Cool.

What about costs though ? I imagine it costs more than 25k to bring a libel action successfully.

She's already been ordered to pay over £100k for the bill, with the expected legal costs somewhere in the region of £300k. What a shame ;D

Even cooler. The Beeb article didn't have those figures earlier on.

I had it in the back of my mind that for libel cases, costs couldn't be awarded.

That's not what he was saying before the referendum last June. When did he become in favour of Remain?

There's a Just Giving Page set up to meet her costs.

(No, there isn't. There's a Just Giving Page set up by Southend News Network, which at first glance says it's to meet Ms Hopkins costs. In reality it's going to the Trussell Trust)

She was interviewed on Radio 4 yesterday and was trying to make out that she had nothing to be ashamed of and it was all an over reaction by the wronged party.
TBH it was the first time I had heard he speak and now I feel her position in this thread is only eclipsed by Piers 'Complete Bellend' Morgan.
