Well done Kimster. Good suggestion. And, cutting that plastic 'lip' down a tad, saves on weight too. It's a win-win situation.

I am hopping someone can advise the diamater of both the 500 ( or is it 600 ml?) and the 1 litre Trangia fuel bottles.

*measures*  The 500ml one is 65mm.

It also looks like the 500 ml at least will fit the Ortlieb bottle cages.

Managed to check out the 500 ml and 1 litre Trangia fuel bottles today.  As it turned out the 500 ml are a bit on the small size in terms of the Ortlieb Bottlecages and the 1 L is way to big.  By chance found some 750 ml water bottles at the supermarket which are a perfect size.  Problem now solved and for $2.00 instead of $70 :)
