Your bike handlbar/cockpit setup....

May be an interesting thread in general for people to get ideas from (though not necessarily from  mine...  ) or to comment on.   So if you've tried something new, or whatever...


On t'steel bike (British Eagle Touristique) it's a bit of a work in progress, and until today haven't used the bike since August.  I've fitted some Tiramasu bars from Planet-X (recommendation) - thought I'd bung some pipe lagging arm rest to test (yes I know it looks a bit 'grab-on').  They need bar tape on too, as a bit 'slippery' atm.  Will get a topeak bar xtender, to put main light in a better position...  The smart light is nearly always on flash.

On bike I've used the most recently (Triban 3) - fairly happy with this layout for longer/dark rides.  Bracket on the stem is Decathlon phone holder - which I haven't used much. ebay XML-T6 USB light's Anker battery is in tribag.

If 'tis of any interest, herewith the red'un - the reddest of red'uns according to Ruthie - on which I'm experimenting with moustache bars. My theory that the 4th+little finger numbness I've been suffering had something to do with resonance and vibration in the drops/hoods doesn't seem to be holding any water. I'm still getting it after half and hour on the moustache bars too. Ho hum. Doubling up the gel pad gloves is going to get too hot when the sun comes out.
All a bit retro here: non-aero levers for simplified cable runs, bar end shifter for the gears, no computer (yet), just a mini-LED 'E.T phone home' light. Mobile phone in jersey pocket.

Random idea:  Print routesheet onto OHP transparency (bonus feature: completely waterproof), clip into holder backed with Scotchlite.  Illuminate with the world's feeblest head-torch.

Yes, they are just the ding for considerate cyclists like myself - much better than the thin tinny and oh so boring plastic looking lacquered Velo Orange offerings

Oi, I've got one of those Velo Orange bells!  It might not be as resonant as the Lion, but it sounds and looks a lot better than any other bicycle bell I've ever had (and it was less than half the price of the Lion).

My Velo Orange bell is in use on 'Percy', which I only ride on sunny Sundays mainly - and it does do the biz. But I likes the dulling brass and much lower tone of the 'Lion', albeit at 2wice the price

Ah - useful to know the Lion is lower in tone. Probably makes it more audible, all in all.
