Dang and double Dang!!  Major family party clashes. Oh well, someone else will have to remind certain parties how to use a lift. (and walk in a straight line).

Just booked a room for 2 adults and 2 children so let me know if you want to share to save money.
The room at Salisbury, South Milford cost £32, so if we can get 4, that's under a tenner each.
Might be worth booking early because the Premier Inn seem to have a lot of cheap rooms going now.

February 16th is also Valentines weekend, so it might get very expensive.

So, who's riding down and either passing Milton Keynes (about 100-120 miles to Salisbury depending on route so probably a 200km ride) or somewhere on the way?

There will probably be a small group of Kingston Wheelers venturing to Salisbury, we may be able to hook up, this was our route last year

If you're doing that route again we could meet up in Henley on Thames.

I remembered that I definitely need to do this weekend to 'kick-start' the cycling year. It's always great to meet-up with old and new audax faces. Will be riding the Kingston Wheelers 200 Route, as usual, plus a more direct route home on the Sunday. Happy to bring up the rear, and will be attempting to 'up my pace' a bit, by doing a bit more riding or training over the winter if possible. Probably staying at the 'Spoons (for ease of staggering upstairs)?

We'll be riding from Harpenden. Would love to meet on the way. Tring, Aylesbury or Buzzard would be part way. Or, you could come via here on route (esp if any others from this sort of direction would like meet too)

Oops. We have cancelled our booking as we are not going to be in the country.  :(
Hope to see everyone out on the road instead.

Is there somewhere safe to leave bikes if we ride to and from the pub?

wyndham is only about 1/2 mile from Kings Head, so suggest we walk...if that's too far, this is lovely and even closer

I’m thinking of staying just outside Salisbury, Premier Inn or similar, to save on costs. Is it definitely the Wyndham for the get together?

no, we generally meet at King's Head for a few cheap beers and a spot of dinner, then move on somewhere nicer when it gets too rowdy
