Two reasonably fast-paced but sociable rides starting from Cosham library that are well worth having a crack at if you are local.
The Wednesday night starts at 6:20pm, is usually about 30-40 miles long and involves beer. The routes often go out as far north as West/East Meon with the pub normally within wobbling distance from home.
The Sunday ride starts at 9:15 and will be in the region of 100 - 120 miles over the course of a day. The ride is broken down by stops at cafes although lunch normally means a pack lunch. Some people only stay until elevenses (like me) which works out at about a 50 mile round trip - ideal for a Sunday.
There is also a Thursday night and Saturday day ride which goes at a more leisurely pace.
