From my film producer friend:
It depends a bit on what they want to do
Take over his place, set dress and run cables everywhere, how many crew will be in his property and for how long , eg half a day, one day , so they need to use other rooms too , the size of the operation influences the price and level of disruption to him
Is the view from the balcony something they really want or are there other properties next door nearby they could get the same view from?
As it’s Liverpool they probably won’t expect to pay London location rates , if it’s big disruption with lots of crew and stuff I said above and a full day of access , should ask for maybe £1,000, or even 1200 if a lot of work
If on the small side / scale and not much time eg half day around 500
But sometimes it’s hard to know what budgets they have , if it’s a very high spec property you can get quite high fees
Also if it’s part of a block of properties then would need other people’s permission too that there may be a level of disruption to others !
Film crews take up a lot of space , noisy , put down protective matts everywhere and run cables everywhere etc
You have to be a bit prepared for it! Hence getting decent money for the disruption
Sorry probably too long a reply
