The saxophone is classed as a woodwind instrument, despite being constructed mostly of brass.

5/ Contrary to that old misguided complaint "They were all speaking English in the pub until we walked in", it is actually the other way around.
Which although polite, is not very helpful if you're trying to learn Welsh.
Admission.  I'm actually not that fussed about cake.

If all the Welsh people, aged over 90 years old, lay end to end in a straight line, only about 5% of them would be able to get up again unaided.
Some people say I'm self-obsessed but that's enough about them.

If the entire population of Wales lay end-to-end on Pendine Sands it would be the nearest thing to mental stimulation the Leave voters among them ever experience.

As the B52's sang in their 199<cough> hit, it is a useful size comparison for cars:

"...I got me a car and it's as big as Wales"

I recall getting a bit too much sun one day during a weekend in Wales.  Perhaps the same event?

Or as Timothy Birdsall of that parish put it, "...I'd ride a bicycle over them".  But he was talking about the novels of C.P. Sagan Snow.

Until 1974 a small part of England was Welsh, and a larger part of Wales was English.

Newport is one of the bits tranferred from England. I wonder if they'd like to have it back?
