It's actually snowing quite a bit in Pompey  :o , big fluffy flakes and all, but it doesn't look like it's settling.

Sno has settled on our grass.
My various outdoor weather probes have not detected any subzero temperatures.
There is continuing frozen precipitation that is so light that:
Myopic folk cannot see it without spectacles.
It evaporates on or before contact with the ground so the patio and streets are dry.

Looks a bit like it's setting in for the evening here in North Kent. Which is a bit tedious since I've a gig to go to about 15 miles away. I'd far rather stay in, light the fire and have a few beers.
There's no vibrations, but wait.

Weird day here in Bucks. Been snowing virtually all day, but little lying, indeed the cars thawed, but now have icicles hanging from them. And the road is drying despite the precipitation.

Same here in the North East. Blizzard for 10 minutes, then it all blows away and everywhere is dry again. Somewhere down the road, there must be one big pile of snow.

Now settling in Pompey as well, albeit only on shed roofs, decking and cars when I last looked.

Quite a lot of the white stuff in Stafford yesterday and overnight... looks like todays exercise will either be taken on the MTB off road, or in my Man Cave on the turbo  :(

Yesterday was fun watching the "mighty" Penkridge FC at Keele....a venue on the top of a hill.....

Oh and I saw only two cyclists yesterday while driving to the venue....both in shorts and summer tops......MADNESS  (either that, or I am a soft Southerner).

3" overnight in Warwick. -2.2C too, so it's here to stay in the short-term, at least.

Loads in Swindon.  The cat can't get out until I go and shovel some of it away from the house.  It's drifted, too.

A couple of cm of light, powdery stuff overnight, blown onto the front of the house by the NE wind. Front steps (flight of 15) are covered & perilous, flagstones in path mostly blasted free. Around -2.5°C with strong gusting wind for added jolification. No tracks on the pavement yet - folk are staying in.
I've dusted off all those old bottles and set them up straight

It isn't the snow that's the problem here, it is the gales. A friend posted on FB that most of the buses in their area (leeds) have been cancelled.

Same here. Sunday club run cancelled, so I'm staying under the duvet for now.

Under the duvet, I wish, Sadie (10 month Jack Russell) is bouncing up and down making I want to go squeaks.

Minus 2c with wind chill here in my village (OX5) with about 3 inches of snow, wind is gusting enough to blow the sno off the trees and make it drift a bit.
The problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so sure of themselves, and wiser men so full of doubt.
