Classic Melbourne

I have a Classic Melbourne folder. I have replaced the rear wheel with an 8/3 sram and it has been very good to me for many years. The only problem I have is the reach. At 6ft i find it a little bit long so no surprise it was no success. Anyone have any ides about replacing the stem ?
