A wheel-borne ferry?

Going from Graffham to Selham (West Sussex), came across this:

I cycled through it and back to find that Ian (who took the photos) was refusing to play, because "I'm not wearing my winter shoes".

Luckily the cavalry arrived in the form of a very nice lady with a trailer of hay behind her Land Rover...

It was busy on the ferry back from Brodick this morning.  The loaders were as miserable as ever towards cyclists.   Contrast the other calmac ferries we caught this weekend. Only other slight miserability was from the loaders on the rothesay ferry.

On 0500 ferry to the Isle Of Wight Randonnee. I'd decided to do it twice, so needed to get an early ferry in order to be back for the celebratory meal in the evening. Hence 0315 wake-up, 40 minute cycle to ferryport...

Strangely, there were only about 10 of us on the ferry. Including some very scantily clad young ladies returning from a night out in Portsmouth. According to the ferry chap in the on-board shop "you should have been on the 0300....!"

Got round - 227km - in 10 hours. Bonked a bit 2nd time up Military road...

It's a couple of dahon folding bikes we keep aboard the boat. We can just about ram them in the dinghy without dismantling them to get them ashore for a ride.
The roof pic was as a result of being several days at anchor and drinking too much seawater.
thx for enlarging guys, bit of a luddite.

A days ride from Ardnamurchan onto Mull taking in two ferry crossings; Kilchoan > Tobermory and return Fishnish > Lochaline. Nice friendly and pleasant Calmac staff and a smooth passage.

Leaving the Kilchoan ferry @ Tobermory

much of the route was an `on the bike` DIY by GPS so I just followed teh GPS screen  ;)

and left the ferry @ Lochaline after a great days riding  ;D

....after the `tarte de pommes`, and  fortified by a couple of shots of limoncellos,  I flew up the Col de Bavella whilst thunderstorms rolled around the peaks above
