... November which is the autumn.

I think last night's weather failed to get your memo about the seasons.

"Real life" will keep me off the road next Wednesday but after that I should be ok.

Excellent.

Mind you, I hope your return won't affect our numbers too much.  We seem to be doing well in your absence.  O:-)

btw, did anyone else notice that the reply count on this thread passed the milestone of 10000 posts recently?
It was a suitably anti-forward planning anarchistic post from the MEMWNS bard himself

ETA: before anyone cleverly goes off and deletes an old post to change the count for the post referenced, this was a correct statement at the time of writing!

We should be very happy about this fact.  The MEMWNS is definitely a force for good thanks to the combined efforts of us all

The Compasses, LG.

By the way, on Saturday ted was saying he didn't think it should be our spiritual home anymore as it's too far away!  I suggested he move.

I have seen tomorrow's forecast and I can't see me riding a 100k round trip when OD can't even be bothered going from Witham  :o

If anyone from the more civilised parts of Essex wants to go somewhere in the Tiptree/Colchester/Mersea triangle of excellence then I could be tempted out in the rain as I need the miles.

Deary me you have a lot to learn still from Tomsk don't you...... a 100k is a minuscule amount from the legend on a Wednesday evening!!!

It was a toss up between waving or getting knocked off as I tried to turn across the oncoming traffic......

However I do acknowledge those that I like i.e. jiber who I smiled and said hello to.

I had to keep a low profile after winning the award due to all the publicity it brings!

I'm afraid it all went a bit to DL's head and he has never been the same since  :(

At least it hasn't changed Tippers.   He is still a misanthropic Swiss/Kiwi git

Not being a legend or having won any awards, the Layer Fox would be good for me on Wednesday evening.

We can have a b team Wednesday night (unless Tippers can be tempted).  It will just be like the first time we met; the lights, the music, the threat of indiscretion ever hanging in the air...

Is fandango going to recreate his dismount, then?

You make that sound seedy and disreputable not pure and free.

Anyway, the dismount came at the Oddie.  Our little meeting came while we were waiting for the Witham peloton to hove into view.
