Any here is me on my first bike on my 6th birthday.

Looks like a "he'll grow into it" purchase!

Me just prior to departing on my 1987 European tour.  I was heading to the Sierra Nevada, Andalucia but was back 9 weeks later having run out of money and nerve, I never got further than the Alps.  I plan to have another go before I'm too past it.

In 1987 I was going for the gay sailor look in Portugal:

Those wonderful norks are never far from my thoughts, oh yeah!

Me and my 1st niece in the summer of 1985. The days when I could do a 12 hour shift, then a 5 mile run every night.  I'd literally just come back from Magaluf. She's now a captain in the Army, and IIRC, she can retire in a few years (37 now with 20 years service)

I don't have pictures but in late spring 1988, I set off on my Rockhopper for a solo camping trip to the Arctic Circle.
I had the Low Rider pannier rack adorned with Karrimor KS100e panniers in orange & navy.
Rear panniers were navy Freedom Bikepacking.

Wild camping in Sweden was not too expensive...

Are you sure you aren't to the right?
It is simpler than it looks.

Didcot. Circa 1957? Brand new back garden and spanking new Council House with galvanised Crittal windows, asbestos guttering and downpipes. Perhaps pondering a life in the circus?

Dunno, three or four maybe.Up a hill somewhere, probably the Lakes, Derbyshire or North Wales. No idea how I have totally unscuffed sandals and clean white clothing, I can only assume that I walked there in usual hill walking gear and then mum produced all the clothing for the photo.

Probably.
Not Clarks, with which I was very familiar.
