My pre- and post-ride (Weds night and Thursday afternoon) pics here:

I think the VC167 rider is Andy Wills.

And the 'random randonneur' is John Grunzke from Arkansas. 2011 was his 6th PBP. He was under 50 hours in 2003.

Correct ID of VC 167 rider. AKA Lantern Rouge

Sorry to be a bit behind the news, not having participated and all that. Here is the link to the FFCT's gallery of PBP2011; I couldn't see any obviously british riders but a bit of atmosphere all the same.

Nice photos of Liudmila Bataeva, the Puerto Ricans and of Valery Komotchkov receiving some sort of award, or possibly presenting one, to Jean-Gualbert Faburel.

There's about 35% of an Exeter Wheeler on image 47

Could it be that only people who have actually paid for Tim's photos got them in the mag?

No. Damn me for even thinking that...

No, I don't think the bloke who looks like he's having a slash on the very left of the bottom inside back cover pic paid for his insertion.

And I didn't get my pic in. I'll have to ride again in 2015...

Despite Arrivee's photographic evidence to the contrary I'd like to point out that I took part in, and successfully completed, PBP 2011

I have evidence that this is indeed so.

+1

I really think there should've been some kind of line-up of us all. Although the most popular picture is of my massive Arse, so maybe just as well it's not in there  ::-)

A double page spread would have done it justice, surely?

I think it would take more like A1. Arrivee just doesn't have big enough pages.

Was your bike on strike or had you killed it?

What a hideous fashion faux-pas. Everyone knows that as an audaxer you should be wearing socks with your SPD sandals  :)
