DPB100
Thanks to Richard Phipps the route check / recce of the DPB100 was completed this weekend and nothing to report.

DPB100 and DPB200
Looks like the ride is happening on the same weekend of the Wiston Steam Rally so the A283 after leaving Steyning could see more cars than normally expected

Reminder that entries close after this Thursday

Well that was a ride of two parts. Ive had a very busy week so a bit sleep deprived and felt all at sixes and sevens for a while; especially when I had a deflation during the unexpected rain. After arriving at Thursley and filling up on food I set off and finally found my legs again going significantly faster for the second half. Bonus was talking my way past the roadworks where they were working on the collapsed sewer!

I really cant understand why Anton doesn't get more entries. This is a loveley route picking its way through a faily heavily populated part of the world. Not much on busy roads and some really beautifull lanes. A bit lumpy but no killer hills. Excellent catering courtesy of Chris and Shirley and instant validation thanks to Mr Phipps, I think the nearest railway station is Hassocks?

I'll be back!

I'm sure all that is true but you wouldn't know it from the event description. (It was also the same weekend as the Orbital / Seashore which might be 'competing' for the same riders locally?)

I was on the SeaShore, didn't see anyone I'd describe as a "regular" on events in that area (or even local) among the 41 brevet cards (I do organise other events in Mid / East Sussex). There were a few on the 300 who might have done Anton's 200.

I think Anton's events are usually well attended, I generally find it impossible to get to anywhere South of the Thames by train for an 0800 start on a Sunday due to the sparse service so don't know if that's a factor. Although I don't think anyone on the SeaShore came on the train.
