Some muppet yelled "STOP!" at me t'other day, and laughed hysterically when I actually braked (and collided crotch-to-head-tube in a quite painful way).

I got my backside squeezed and a 'nice arse!' last night. Does that count?

Not really shouting, and not necessarly an oik, but I completely forgot to post about the motorbikist who overtook me on the first section of Wowbagger's Folly, took his feet off the pegs and made pedalling motions as he rode off.

"YOU EAT TOO MUCH ICE CREAM!" today.

Presumably related to Ben & Jerry's jersey (which is a size medium, and too big...)

'ARuuurggaah garrrrr DRUGS'

Not sure if it's do with the Tdf or enterprise promotion. Given that it was down a path to a footbridge over the ship canal, a favourite hangout of baby drug dealers* on PTW's, it's a 50/50 bet

*someone'e going to have to call the UN over the war on drugs, both sides seem to be using child soldiers.

I went out on the Helios with 2 child seats but only one baby. Group of lads on bmx and bike type things (aged about 12):

'wow!'
'sick, sick bike'
'(various other positive kidspeak)'

Then a bit later I passed them and an additional couple -

'there's that sick bike I told you about'
'sick...sick'!

So I think that was good then. Possibly.

"overhaul" it, or you can ride it.  (Jerome K Jerome)

Tandems attract a lot of comment, and some fun misconceptions when it's an all male team. So far we've been taken for Father/Son (I liked that one), Gay Couple, Brothers, and obvious lunatics. I've started answering oblique questions about marriage with "Yes, we're married - to our wives" and varying  the length of the pause in the middle just to see people's faces change :)

My all time favourite heckle was a long indrawn breath, followed by 'LESBIANS!' when NSTN (who is a young lady) was stoking the Helios  ;D

It used to be that I'd get people shouting "LESBIANS!" at me just for walking down the street on my own.  Doesn't seem to happen any more.  Not sure if it's because I'm older, walk a lot less, the oiks have been to the optician or just because I don't live in Canterbury...

Probably the not living in Canterbury. The youth of East Kent certainly had a tendency to use the word a lot when I was growing up there.

I went out for a 100 k 'perm'* today, got out of the garage, set off and thought 'no helmet - ah fekkit'

Lo and behold I got a shout of 'where's your helmet?' with full on hand on forehead slapping- yeah I think I know what part of the anatomy a lid goes on  ::-)   I wouldn't mind so much but this came from another cyclist going in the opposite direction  ???   Sadly I was too busy waving halloo before it occurred so could only complete this manoever before he was gone.  Otherwise my response would have been less friendly. :P

* route checking really, not a perm as I bought no brevet card.

Oik: "G'waaaaaaan!" (in the football voice)
Oik's mate: "I bet your husband loves you!"

Completely different oik, some miles later: "It's the Olympics!"

Assorted teenagers (female): "Woo!" "Go girl!" "I want one!"

Random car driver:  *beep* *beep*

As I filtered past traffic after crossing Marlow Bridge last night, a family were crossing the road. The car I was about to pass (Volvo 4X4) gave way as did I, with me about 2 feet to the offside of the lane divider lines. 4 of 5 from the family crossed when a hatchback approached from the opposite direction. Family member 5 hesitated and the hatchback continued on it's path whilst the 4X4 and I waited for the pedestrian. As hatchback drew level with me the driver uttered "Get on the right side of the fucking road!". He then drove off without waiting to engage in conversation. 4X4 and I continued on our merry way after family member 5 had joined his group.

Hatchback driver- young male in a shirt and tie. Pwopper Nugget ::-)

We didn't have anything particularly special to report from last night's tandem potter. We usually get "Santa" from someone or other. No exception here, except the oik in question was so slow to come up with what he no doubt considered was a highly original witticism. We were at least 30 yards away and he was only just within earshot.
