Arrows - The photographic record
« on: 08 April, 2012, 01:41:37 pm »
I would like to see some photos of the Arrows. Especially any that feature night riding and the melee at the Punch Bowl after the ride.

There is a reason - I am writing a short piece in my club rag and want some images to give my poor prose some colour. I will message the people who took the photo I would like to include to inform that they have been used. The club magazine in question has a circulation of about 250.

My hope is to encourage some of my club mates into the alternative cycling world that is Audax.

Good grief!  :o

I have reported this to the moderator for us to pour over along with the series of bus shelter pictures that have been  deemed as 'acceptable' to be posted on the Internet.

I think that's Feline, second one on the front row, with simonp mooning the photographer.

I can't help but be reminded of the scene in "One flew over the cuckoo's nest", where they get to have an unauthorised trip out from the Hospital.

Bogs all occupied, I suppose, and when you gotta go, you gotta go. I do hope your sleeping bag's dried out.

Worse that that the bogs were all padlocked so I was unable to use my magic Radar key. In Hawes we resorted to exploring people's back gardens to find a tap so we could fill our bottles!  Probably not the best idea at 3am but we were thirsty after the Chinese meal :P

Churches often have a tap outside for watering flowers on graves.
Just turn the tap on and make sure it has mains so that you know it's coming from the mains before you use it for drinking.
Petrol garages often have taps outside too.

We'd already tried a church and the village hall. If we didn't find any outside taps the next plan was to clamber in through a kitchen window as we'd picked up some good tips from an army sniper we met in Carlisle
It didn't look at all like that in the photographs

I put some of the photos that I took on this Audax themed blog I started... the photos were just taken on my phone, so going from phone, to computer, to blog has somewhat dulled the picture quality...
