Am I right in thinking the most efficient route from Witham to Little Totham incorporates TMNH?

Not from Offshore and it might eat into your available drinking time from Witham if you are aiming for a 7pm departure.

Perhaps I was a little hasty.  I am very keen to get some miles in so I will set off early to do the first bit of THIS ROUTE which includes TMNH, and I will then swing by Spa roundabout to meet up with the rest of the Witham peloton.  If I'm not there at 1900hrs feel free to set off without me and I'll catch up at the pub.  Also, let me know if you wanna set off early as well.

I was going to propose this route for 7pm departure with eta about 8:15.

Hatfield Broad Oak ... what time are we meeting. 8pm? I can be earlier if that suits anybody else, but otherwise 8pm is fine.

They're not picking up the phone (remember those?) today, so we're no further on. Their website hasn't been updated recently by the look of it.

8pm would be about right for me. Plan B would be The Spiritual Home I guess?

Their Facebook page has been very active recently, so I'm confident they are open. I've sent an email, see if I get a response.

Spiritual Home would be fine if they don't respond.

I'm good with The Compasses or The Cock Inn. Let me know as soon as you decide as I will need to plan a route as I have some mad thing in my head to make it a bit longer.

I've had no response from the Cock Inn. Shall we make it the Compasses then?

Ok

I'll book an 8pm table in the marquee then? Nearer for mid-Mid-Essex, ie Withamites ...

So far we have:
1. Tomsk
2. psyclist
3. Nick

Bah. Need to think about this a bit earlier than 2pm on a Wednesday, clearly.

Outside table booked at the Spiritual Home. Three places still available - please come and join us! You see it only needs a minimum of forward planning and then spontaneity can occur.  ;D

Tom - still trying to plan that spontaneity - but looking hopeful. Obviously if there are others who can definitely make it, they should take precedence over flakes like me. But then I could always to a flyby...
