Photos that needed a little help. These first few were taken in Trafalgar Square, that place with all the floating Yodas (unless they've been dealt with since last I was there).

Thank you, that has inspired me. I call this one 'Beast of the belly #9':

Brian Sewell was exhumed and pronounced it "the work of a late teenager," placing me in the ranks of Damien Hirst.

Guilty, m'lud

I like how you’ve blurred the yo-yo and made it slightly in the shape of an ellipse,

to give the illusion of motion. That the string is off-centre, and positioned exactly right in the hand, is just bonus verisimilitude.

There's job satisfaction in being Dr Frankenstein.

A picture I grabbed off a FNRttC thread across the road a number of years ago. I don't remember the context; it must've had something to do with this lineup being disreputable.

I haven't done one of these for a while, no alteration necessary.

I haven't taken many pictures of politicians. This guy could at least use a pirate patch (will put it on my to do list):

Ken Livingston is lost for words as he suddenly realises the London Eye has come loose and is headed straight for him.

Ian Blackford grills me on my voting record.

Emily Thornberry patiently gives instructions on how to knit your own jumper.

Back to alterations next time...

Every bloke had a thing about Clare Grogan back then.

Altered in the sense that the skyline abruptly changed 8 years after I took this, about a 5 minute walk from home at the time.

The only alteration on this one, taken at the Science Museum in London, is the speech bubble.

There is of course a long, illustrious history of faked moon shots.

Thanks, Sam. I've always loved mucking about in Photoshop.

You're in another league to me. I don't even have Photoshop anymore (unless Elements counts), and even then I never learned how to use it for other than very basic alterations. I use something called Sketch, which is a completely different kettle of fish.

(That one was like that when I got there.)

Nice one.

I'm not as handy with PS as I was 10 years ago.  Alas, that goes for a lot of things.

Sometimes a seascape just needs something extra. Often a just a gull will do, and I usually use the same gull, flipped or unflipped

Although in the past I've also used a heron

Sunshine Home for little Girls and Boys:

Give them the boy when he is seven and...

Taking things to extremes:

J'attendrai... le jour et la nuit

Did all these with plugins from a bunch called Flaming Pear. Great fun.

It's unlikely you'll remember how Big Bird was stationed on a temporary 5th plinth and prodded to fly (with the aid of a trampoline, also out of shot) over unlucky plinthers. The often horrendous results were scrubbed from public memory.

For a recent project, '12 Days of Love Actually'. The brief was to remove any vestiges of NSFW whilst making an impactful critique, though not of Keira Knightley as such.
