Thinking about N+1 - Which MTB for a big bloke

At 6'4" and 125 kg I'm a bit worried that an average MTB would not last very long with me on it. I've looked for a Kona Hoss (which is designed for the bigger rider) with a 22" frame, but it looks like they've been discontinued. Any recommendations?

It depends on how much you are willing to spend

A lot of the "all mountain" type full sussers will be more than up to the task, a racing snake XC  hardtail might not be.

I'm a big chap (as you might recall from the Random Tandem).  I have a Marin full susser.   I put a nice Fox rear shock on it and it can take my weight easily.

I guess other decent full sussers with a decent shock will do likewise.

If looking at a hardtail I would also look at the Rocky Mountain or Norco range of bikes which are "north shore" orientated.

That means designed to blast the single track but also handle being chucked off drop offs.
