Just when you thought it was safe to finish a ride without a monster barbeque and as many canisters of ale as you can eat...
:demon:
-
How many beer tokens?! I am in!
-
Will the grill chef be chucking Linda McCartney on the coals? I like the onion and rosemary bangers, but for the more refined plant powered palates amongst us, her chorizo and red pepper sausagey offering goes really well with a chilled can of Dead Pony Club. And a bag of skittles. Buttered
-
In.
-
It's the ACH venison burger that does it for me.
Word from the Moose is that the beer is also on it's way....
Owwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!
ACH
-
This year will also see the inaugural introduction of Beer Hunter.... The game of luck, nerve and ale :demon:

There's probably not much meat left on her by now. And what there is won't exactly be fresh.

I like my steak aged, but this might be a bit far!

Is this likely to hit capacity soon? I'd love to ride this but don't want to commit until I'm certain I'll be okay after this weekend's 600...
-
You'll be fine. Tap pay......

Entries continue to swell at 50+ and riders can enter right up to kick-off
Meanwhile back at ACH HQ the Beavertown is chilled 'n' ready in the Stags Head Pub-Shed
This year we have a tyrannical trio of Neck Oil, Gamma Ray and Lupoloid coming in at a Volume of 4.3%, 5.4% & 6.7% respectively

Awww, I think that 'Lupoloid' is gonna send me to Heaven!! ;D

I've somehow deleted the information email from Justin , is there any chance you could send it to me again?

My first calendar event. Blimin' loved it. Thanks to all involved!
-
Very good day out.
I'm still not convinced there was only 1400m of climbing.
Learnt many things today - Wind is more tiring than hills, my new old saddle is not as bad as I remember, sandals are the future (properly sweaty feet today after choosing shoes), 69" is a perfectly acceptable climbing gear thay I may just keep using, and Enfield is about 30km long, or at least felt like it.
Left my spare phone batteries at a garage in Cambridge, and battery ran out just by Chelsea bridge so no ECE for me. Boo, hiss. (Woke up this morning and was still annoyed by this amd I just couldn't motivate myself to do Rowlands either, so a 5point weekend ends up being only 2)
Hey ho - looking forward to the hill fest that is Greenwhich Mean Climb in a couple of weeks to finish what has been a good season.
-
A+++ would ride again
-
What a nice day. Thanks to ACH for arranging the last day of the summer for us.
This ride has done nothing for the numb fingers on my left hand though. >:(
-
Many thanks to ACH for a top notch day out, thoroughly enjoyed that.
-
Fantastic route!
Sadly I was feeling ill when I set off so dropped out at the first cp.
I'll be back next year though!

Kick of for edition-5 is 0830 this Saturday folks
I can almost taste the Chorizo, rocket and pepper ciabatta with a drizzle of olive oil or is that the Harira and couscous couscous? Who knows, the killer- coffret of Beavertown will no doubt assist one's taste buds....
See you outside Thd Saluz folks
Jx
