Anyone fancy a DIY by GPS ride with me?
Route: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/42604841
I think it qualifies for 1.5AAA points... but I'll double check before I ride it. RwGPS says 1,441m, but the AAAAnalyser gives 1,501m.
Cheers,
Graeme.

I've gone to the trouble of adding scenery, not just hills...

And generally the descents are the fun descents...

Heart says, "Yes!" but Head says, "No!" to prevent Heart also saying, "No ......."  Sorry.  But it's a great route.

It's a great name too!
Riding a concrete path through the nebulous and chaotic future.

As a BP DIY, the minimum speed will be 10kph. Which means a 10am start and finished by 3pm at the latest. Although this 50km ride has 1,501m of climbing, it also has 1,501m of descent. Over half of the distance is downhill - gentle descents to enjoy. And there are cafes in Slaithwaite and Marsden to refresh. There is a railway station in Slaithwaite too - for trains from Manchester, Leeds, York etc. All this is dependent on nice weather... but a group DIY-by-GPS for anyone who wants to ride up and down the sides of the Colne Valley with me.

Not BRM.
