ECE a non UK BRM
« on: 04 October, 2018, 06:58:05 pm »

I would like to ECE a Dutch BRM on Saturday, but I can't seem to find how to submit this request online.

I've bought the ECE brevet card, but the auk page seems to assume you're doing a UK calendar event.

What am I missing?

I would contact Martin , his contact email is on this page http://www.aukweb.net/perms/detail/ECER02/

You are certainly are allowed to ECE Dutch BRM events.

Reviving this thread as it is no longer possible to buy an ECE on the AUK website for non-AUK events.

Now, you can send Martin the money directly on his paypal account but be aware that this will cost you another €2 (in perspective: a 42% surcharge).

Not that I do a lot of ECE, but still:  >:(

@Zed 43 assuming you are who I think;

for some bizzare reason PayPal is adding a €2 fee to transfer £4 from your personal account to mine  :( it's nothing to do with AUK either. It worked without the surcharge by paying in €. I never get charged to send 99p to China for eBay stuff  ???

I'll look into getting someone in the very nice AUK team to create a generic ECE entry form for overseas / autre format events  :thumbsup:

Quite likely  ;)

Maybe Paypal charges a fee when you make a personal transfer instead of something initiated by a "merchant"? Regardless, I hope you got the £4 (or thereabouts) and there were no further deductions.

The old payment form might have been a little clunky but was perfectly serviceable IMO, which made its disappearance a little irksome  :) Perfectly fine by me if they just re-instate that.

I currently have 20 different ECEs on the organisers' side of the old website; to make things simpler they removed all these at the user end and replaced them with a simple button on the calendar event page that would assign the correct distance.

It just doesn't work for events that are not in the AUK online calendar which is what I / the hard working AUK team need to work on  but as you say they are few and far between :)
