ATM,  looks like no trains out from Poole towards London all weekend 4/5 April 2020. You can arrive but you can't leave.  I don't have time or inclination  for an overnight, then ride to Southampton for a train on Sunday.  Another time....

Best option is to ride the Dorset Coast 200 on the Sunday. A perfect weekend of cycling.

And if you race round the Dorset Coast, there's an 18.18 train waiting for you, the only one between Poole and Southampton all weekend for some strange reason.

There are ongoing problems at Eastleigh because of a freight train derailment at Eastleigh last week.  Network Rail are going to take months to fix it.

Im just about to send off my entry for this, i have also entered the Dorset coast on the Sunday. I will be driving down to Poole from High Wycombe  in my Van,  I am  staying in the Poole Travel lodge on the Saturday evening then driving back Sunday evening. As the trains are going to be a problem over the weekend i have space in the van of anyone wants a lift..

Must get organised for this.  If you have a running other half like me it is the Bournemouth half on the Sunday.
