I'm down in the Vercors with PGTips, but as there's a thunderstorm and fairly heavy rain going on, we're not cycling this morning, so I thought I would post a few pictures.
The mouth of the gorge that we were going to cycle up (corrected)
But before the climb there's a nice fast descent (sacrificing some height that we've already gained)
He looks happy here, because we've only gone up 6 or 700 feet in this climb
We'll be going across that big lumpy bit behind us
Up at 2500 feet, we've still got another 600 feet to go, but the camera battery ran out here.
The next day we take it easy, only about 500 feet of climbing, but first across the flat area near the river
Then back up, we took a break under a shady tree as it was so hot (that's Combe Laval that we want to go up later in the week)
Everybody takes this picture when they come here
We went out one evening to take some pictures of the viaduct that crosses the village. Because I didn't bring a right angle viewfinder, I had to get PGTips to position the camera low down, of course he claims credit for the picture
The next day was a short ride, but with about 1000 feet of climbing at 10% - this was before most of the climb, that's why he looks cheerful
A very pretty local village
A visit to the cake shop when we got back
