Suitable rim for Dahon Speed TR
« on: 21 March, 2009, 04:53:54 pm »
A recent camping excursion to the Dales has left me with a cracked rear rim on my Dahon Speed TR. I am trying to source a suitable replacement but have been informed that the 406, 28 hole replacement (a Kinetic Comp) is on a boat and won't arrive until the end of April. Fishers, the distributors, appear to be earning their poor reputation for stocking Dahon spares.

Does the panel have any knowledge of suitable suppliers that might have this or similar in stock? I have tried the usual local suspects; Bicycle Doctor in Manchester, Spa Cycles but no joy there.

I am trying to get the wheel sorted by next Friday for a Peak District pootle so grateful for any suggested alternatives.

St John Street Cycles are showing a Sun CR 18 in stock which looks like it will do.
At the end of the day, when all's said and done, there's usually a lot more said than done.
