Is there any chance of the baton heading Sussex way? I'm right on the coast (Eastbourne) so possibly a bit too far for me to get it from that London but if someone else can get it a bit nearer?
Miles cycled 2014 = 3551.5 (Target 7300 :()
Miles cycled 2013 = 6141.4
Miles cycled 2012 = 4038.1

That as well!!
You knew what I meant.

That's 'cause I'm sick-ick physcic ;D.
I'll have a chat with our man in Darlington to see if he wishes,or not, to carry north from joglerville.

Probably not a goer, as I'm catching the train back to Darlo from Derby.

Still, all pretty academic if it's still down in London!

Technically, I'd happily ride it down (only about 75 miles?) but organisation might be an issue. Life at the moment is a bit chaotic, but I may well take you up on that.

AND I am sure there must be some Lunnoners that really WANT to take it, but are probably a little put off by the responsibility.

My message to you all: You CAN do it.

Step forward now some volunteers.

Couldn't Julian take it for a while? It would make a beautiful gavel.

Anyone can take it, all it needs is immersion in the Thames (7 times) to cleanse the body, 13 laps around Parliament square to cleanse the spirit and a climb to the top of Highgate Hill to prepare the legs.

I lie.

No previous experience required.

(And Clarion, it would be most EXCELLENT if you were back in some sort of shape, but really there should be more of us in this here London .....)

My life is chaotic too but I would certainly cycle towards London and meet you somewhere in the middle.

Shall we leave it a bit and see if a few more Londoners want it first and if not try and arrange something?

I was going to organise a handover ride, but with Mrs Ham having an op scheduled, it's all a bit up in the air - I'll give you a call.

100 metres is long distance!  We did it in the same pub without stepping outside!

YACFers in a relationship may want to post photos of the shortest distance travelled for a handover.

(This could get interesting)

And if you haven't got a baton handy, then perhaps you might practise with something else...

Root vegetables may make a good stand in.

As I was party to the swiftest handover of the baton recently (photos are somewhere), I would like to categorically state that I am not in a relationship with either Oscar's Dad or Tomsk!!!!!
