[LEL17] Merchandise
« on: 04 August, 2017, 12:43:16 pm »
Hello,

when would it be possible again to buy the clothes again with LEL attributics? It was said before that after the event, but there was nothing out there.

Thank you!

I believe the shop is being turned on again next week.

Give the organisers time to close the final control down ...

I do find this a difficult question to answer politely .. Danial looked exhausted this afternoon .. but will still be at Loughton until tomorrow afternoon... WORKING . we have  a huge amount of tidying up , sorting out , dealing with riders with complex questions, and those who have had accidents ,  getting the finishers  brevet cards  validated .. and for me things like paying all volunteers expense claims .. dealing with overseas riders insurance claims .. paying suppliers .. etc etc .. the ride may have finshed .. but the work goes on for weeks.

We will do a second run of equipment orders in due course .. when we can handle it

No problem at all, I missed it the first time through my own fault, mainly not paying attention to when i was away working vs when the store closed.  I had absolutely no expectation that it would be open tomorrow, just sometime when you have finished dealing with stuff.

I think the original post was fine, with no side to it at all.

"When we can get round to it" would have sufficed as an answer.  Why assume Newbie isn't aware just how busy people have been?

I had the same question regarding merchandise.

Will wait to hear as to when the bar is open.

Being dead superstitious I'd never purchase an LEL jersey until I'd completed the event - wouldn't want to tempt fate... I know it may sound pathetic to some, but that's just how my mind is wired-up.
So whilst I'd agree the LEL team still have a huge mountain of (un-paid) work to get thru, I'd also like to now be able to buy myself an LEL jersey / merchandise - please - whereas I'd not consider this beforehand.

I'm happy to wait in line -  When the time comes, it comes.  This worked well for me in 2013.

(P.S.  great to have met & ridden with you Hummers )
