So who's in?

I'm definitely up for riding this one :) Who's done it before, what do we have in store?

Done this last year and really enjoyed it. One bit of A-road (as far as I remember) which isn't too bad, however, and over with quickly.
Sadly, I can't ride it this year - have fun everybody.

I'm rapidly running out of excuses to avoid Mark's excellent events. Therefore I feel compelled to enter this one.

What worries me is that I'll probably be riding my Pashley. And that worries me.

I won't have the car that weekend so not sure I'll be able to get there.

I can't make this unfortunately. Or I'd help you to pop your cherry Bairdy.

I may dust down my long distance wheels, dig deep and join in :).

And there are no AAA's?!

I'm don't live too far from the start :).

Now, just a thought does sleeping with the 'boss/organiser' get
you anywhere these day? :demon: ha ha

That's probably a question best not asked.

There's a reason why the Kings stop on the BCM was so popular with all those hoary old men  ;)

It's a several km longer, but I suppose Willersey, Weston-sub-Edge, Mickleton, Ilminton is the obvious route. Is it any quicker - nope, it's not exactly flat, you'll miss-out on the spectacular vistas from the top of Ebbrington Hill (that's worth the entry fee alone).

There's no AAA, so if you want extra km GFI. It will become known as "The Alfapete manouver"
where you have a concentration of power in a few hands, all too frequently men with the mentality of gangsters get control. History has proven that. Power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Highly likely I'll be doing this - a nice straightforward route with a superb cooked breakfast to be had in Daventry ;D

I wouldn't worry, he'll probably send an email in the next day or so.

Mark might be on holiday.....the route sheet and GPS are on the AUK entry page for the event and should have all the info you need.

I'm making a return to AUK after a short break. And I just know that where I could once turn out 200km with ease, its going to hurt on Saturday :( oh well all part of getting my endurance legs back.

Yeah, I'm thinking of this one.  Probably my last chance for another 200k before the nights draw in so I'm finding it hard to find an excuse not to.

Currently planning on riding over from Chelt to make it a round 150 miler, with a nice incentive at the end to get back before it gets dusky.  I haven't done this one but Mark always picks a good route...

Unlike every other time I seem to have been on my bike recently, it looks like it might even be dry for some of this.

Is this hilly?

The Willersley Hill, if you choose to go over as per the route, is a tad taxing but it does come early so can be tackled with fresh legs.  I would say that the rest looks undulating with the odd small lump or two!
