Have any of you had any communication (e-mail or otherwise) from the organiser yet?

Mark is usually on the ball with his events and sends out information (usually by e-mail0 well before the date of the event, but I have not heard anything which seems a bit odd.  Or is it just me?

Route sheet implies start is from the Council Car Park.  Last one of Mark's rides I did we started from the Hop Pole as access to the car park wasn't available any more.  I know he was hopeful that would be sorted for future rides.  Other than that ride looks really good.  I've created a .tcx version on ridewithgps if any one is interested:

Thanks.  Profile looks a tad lumpier than I thought.  Forecast looks ok at the mo, roads will be quite wet though.

Very sorry for the delayed response, start/finish details should be with you all.

For those wanting brekkie, The Royal Hop Pole opens at 07:00.

To be honest, when my 3 year old sneezed in my mouth last Tuesday, I knew what lay in store  ;D

Cold symptoms aren't too bad, it's the headaches and muscle stiffness that are getting me

I'll be trying a 200 for the first time on the Pashley.

What time does the Hop Pole close? I'm hoping to make last orders...
You're only as successful as your last 1200...

RHP now serves food & drink up to 11pm.

There will be at least six real ales available at arrivee, I will do my best to sample them all, saving riders wasting time finding the best brew.

Of course there will be the usual fizz-water for the lager-louts. And white wine for the ladies.

The RHP will be open from 7 a.m. for those that want brekkie.

Is this hilly?
It approaches Chipping Norton from the North.

Luckily, with your memory this probably means nothing. And I'm sure it's fine overall. Looks a nice route

Speedy recovery to you all, and see you at the next BlackSheep 200?

I had a similar problem last Sunday when I received 'holy communion'
knowing as I took the wine I would get a sore throat.  Then I had my flu jab
yesterday and to add to this I have shattered legs from blackSheeps tour last week.

Apart from that I'm fine and ready to rock or is that cycle.

We two Grannies that's ladies Lou & Lin will bring up the rear.

Oh BlackSheep, ours will be a full-bodied pint each if we complete. :)

Cheers.

Well, after looking forward to this ride I was a DNS.

The reason - Food poisoning late Thursday night/Friday morning.

Well that was a cracking ride but a bit tougher than expected.  The 3rd stage into the wind, with a few lumps thrown in, was a bit brutal and I really suffered on the climb up to Epwell.  Found my legs again later but they only liked flat sections towards the end.

I hope no one had too many problems with the rain.  My god, did it pour on my way back to Chelters.

Big thumbs up to Mark, great route with some lovely surfaces and views... and friendly controls in between.

Out of interest, did anyone get that first info control?  I completely missed it in Elmley Castle.

Yes great ride - BlackSheep

Many thanks to Rob & Mike for looking after the 'Grannys'
But at the 'turn around point' Lin was shattered and it was
a steady ride back to base.

But we enjoyed our day, and chuffed we completed. :) :)

It was good fun but I did my usual trick and bonked towards the end. I always fall apart somewhere after Chipping Norton.
Must remember to eat more but only on Audax days.

(Nice cameo appearance from MattC at the Chipping Norton control.)
