Tis a bit nippy and the crackly under-wheel noise suggests it may be icy out there - again.

S wind for now veering SW later, ~2°C in Thetford.

I noticed on Strava that Tarzan is following Steve but Steve's not following Tarzan. ;)

URGENT

If anybody can get word to Steve: There has been an accident on the A10 between Southery & Littleport which will close the road for most of the morning - Traffic is likely to be diverted along the narrow road that Steve used yesterday between those towns so it will be best to re-route. My experience in the past, is that they direct traffic one way along  the Ten Mile Bank road (which Steve used) and the other way out towards Welney Washes so his likely alternate route may be very busy as well.

Beautiful day to be out on a bike.  I hope Steve is soaking up the sunshine and having a blast through the countryside.

Just being polite or an early shout for inclusion in the New Year's honours list?

You're much more likely to hear:

"Would you like vodka with that, my friend?"

Excellent work by WJ and LWaB!

Actually he used the route I thought would be busy, anyway. Maybe they diverted traffic a longer way round, as I heard that they closed the A10 at Downham Market-7 miles North.

He is on the Fen, back roads about 4 miles NW of me at the moment.  :D

Pedal Castro OTP is tracking him down right now, trying to "talk him in" suggested he heads him off at St Ives. He has a Garmin video camera on board so hopefully there will be some footage of TG in the sun for once.

It's bloody gorgeous out there - warm (10c!!), sunny, light wind.

One of the few times so far this year I'm genuinely envying Steve!

As am I. Today's weather would make a lovely ride.

Much better than sitting in the office. "What's that? The sun is shining through the windows? Quick! Close the blinds!"

I have to do that as it shines straight at my monitor meaining I can't see what I'm doing. Not that I need to today. Grey, bleak and wet up here. Sounds like it's better for Steve :)

If you work alone from home you're missing the opportunity for:

- Can you put down the blind please.
- A bit harsh but OK. Their dogs look stupid in those fluorescent jackets. Will that do?

Having been to a meeting in Peterborough, I fired up the Trackomatic which suggested he was in Chatteris, so headed over that way. A bit of guess work and a spot of luck meant I saw him near Somersham. Span the motor round, overtook him and parked up for some photos. Yelled some encouragement at which our hero raised his head. I was slightly surprised to see what a gentle pace he was doing.  The Android app still thinks he's in Chatteris. I'll post the pics up later.

I found the SW wind quite strong when out today - on the exposed Fen roads I think it will have been quite tough - despite the blue skies and sunshine.
