"Momma" rides Sat Sept 5 2015---updated route info
« on: 31 August, 2015, 11:16:02 am »
There are a number of updates to the routes---so here is advance info (correct on 30/08/15)---

200k and 130k riders (130k in brackets)---183k (111k)  There is a new signpost but no sign pointing R to Golly;  L@T 186k (114k)  just beyond there is a diversion R to Burton for Level crossing works.  I got through the normal route no probs on a bike.  If you don't want to risk this, follow the diversion through Burton and back to Darland Lane (adds less than 5k)
130k riders---there is a new sign to Llangollen where you turn R at 59k
50k riders---the Carden Arms Tilston at 42k has now shut.  You are to be given an info question to answer instead.

All this info available with any updates at the start.  Let's hope for better weather than last year!

Has anyone got a GPS track or route for the Pistyll Packing Momma 200km please?

Cheers,

I've found this track from 2014...
http://ridewithgps.com/trips/3187374
... checking it against the routesheet now...
[edit: it's OK aside from a few insignificant glitches.  Looks like a great route and includes some roads we've not yet ridden ]

I'm just fettling my bike in preparation for this ride.  I'm looking forward to a return to North Wales.  Hirnant Pass is a delight.

Not one of my better days. A flat tyre on the car upon arrival didn't make for a great start. 7km in the rear gear cable snapped, started to fit the spare before realising something was borked in the shifter as it just wasn't ratcheting round. Real shame, had been looking forward to this. Ah well, have another go next year.
