Starting a new thread rather than resurrect the old one.

Entries this year are now approaching last years total and the are still several weeks to go.  So the event will close early again.  First come first served.  Take this as a warning.

What kind of weather have you booked?

We'll be on solos as the tandem is spending the winter having cosmetic surgery.

The Usual,   but it will probably be wet and windy.

Just entered the ride. Now to investigate the carvery.

I assume we can park on the pub car park across the road.

Yes we use the car park for the pub.   unless you are doing an ECE.

Do you get a voucher for the carvery?  I've never stayed for it before but am considering doing so after T&L.

You get a voucher for £1 off food,  you will need to be back before 21:00 if you want the carvery but if you let me know that you will want food after that time they have been known to put a meal or two on to a plate.

I'm going to enter the 100km.
I won't need a carvery.
Is there a voucher for the breakfast before the ride?

I am afraid not.   as the bulk of the riders will not want that option as far as I know.

The morning I walk through The Pretty Pigs before a ride, I get the waft of sausages, bacon and frying eggs.
The 200 is just a shade too early for a 'sit down', so the 100 will give time to enjoy the feast.

Then again, the first control of the 200 at Wistow is a sticker, not a signature, so three quarters of an hour delayed start could be caught back.

I've entered the 100km route, planning on riding to and from to get a few extra km's in the bank

That's sort of my plan, cycle over then have breakfast before starting the 100km

Route check now completed and the route sheet altered along with the gpx file as one road is now closed and removed being replaced by dual carriageway.  so Tinsel lanes has some new roads.

Information has now gone out to all on-line entrants, If you have not received it let me know.  Postal responses will go out tomorrow.

Am I allowed to swear.  The last forecast I saw saw suggested a ridge of high pressure.  Rained solidly on my last 200 in November (The Eureka).  Looks like I had better prepare myself for another soaking

My front mudguard is broken, think I'll be using one of those croozer ones on the down-tube... lovely

I just too a look to see if the forecast for Saturday had improved.

It hadn't.

Looks like 50 to 150 is going to be the tough headwind section.

IIRC, the café at Wistow doesn’t open until 10:00, so getting there on a fair tradewind will be of little advantage.
