Aren't there five sepals on a tomato in reality, if we're playing pedant?

Peering through the fog of a 1970's video recording, I think it is 6 sepals per tomato.

Don't Google for a Triple Gibbon with Safe Search off.  At least, not while at work.

If you see a faded sign at the side of the road that says ‘1 ½ miles to Marsh Gibbon’,
You’re at the Sow and pigs, baybeeee.

In Marsh Gibbon there’s a signpost and a house to let,
and a cyclist taking photos of the view.
He hopes to see a faster rider passing through.
I think you know who.

At the corner there are two policemen in a motorcar,
Then two ladies walked their dogs across the grass.
And say 'hello' to the man with his bicycle, in the spiting rain,
Very strange.

Marsh Gibbon is in my ears and in my eyes.
There beneath the blue Buckinghamshire skies.

Yesterday's single Gibbon took Steve's average down to 293.4 mpMG.

All joking aside, I have been in touch with the Clark for Marsh Gibbon parish council and have asked her if they can set up something of a welcome for their frequent flyer.

Have we had an official ruling on today's probable gibboning?  The tracking is a little ambiguous.
Admission.  I'm actually not that fussed about cake.

Strava is the "Gold Standard" - all will be revealed when it is posted. I beleive he has to go beyond the "Welcome to M-G" sign for it to count.
If it's close, a referal to Street view may help the adjudicators.

I've just been trying to see if if it's feasible to go a little off route on the Buckingham Blinder 400 in April to feed at The Plough in Marsh Gibbon.
Sadly they don't open until 4.00pm on Saturdays. I'll be passing by around 3.00pm  :(

It's official. Strava confirms that Steve gibbonned this evening. I was driving home from Bicester towards Piddington, must have missed him by seconds!

Would there be an interest in a few Gibbon Time tea towels?

I was wondering whether we could have an auction for, say 5 tea towels ("limited numbered print run; signed by the artist"  ;D) where the highest 5 bids get one with 100% of their bid money going to Steve's fund (I'm happy to foot the bill for production costs and postage).

Production costs would work out at around £11 each, so minimum bid would ideally be well in excess of that to make it a worthwhile exercise. If there was demand, I'd be happy to do this every couple of months with a new tea towel each time.

If we did this, I'd probably post one to Steve's address too. The domestic support crew must have to dry up a fair few sausage pans.

I'll take one. Maybe get Steve to autograph the artwork? As well as the artist of course.

Jo, your idea is so quintessentially British that I fear that the lot on the other side of the pond will simply hoist the white flag when they realise what they are up against.

As the daylight hours increase and Steve's daily mileages rise, he will presumably be riding further afield and so making fewer Gibbon visits. Alternatively, he might decide to ride multiple local loops and so make frequent passages of MG. As summer days turn to autumn then winter again, his strategy will no doubt change. Maybe - damn the thought! - he will even tire of Marsh Gibbon! The question is, at what point in the year will we see Peak Gibbon?

Please note that a Peak Gibbon is not the same as an Alpine Ape. I know that you know this, yet I am compelled to remind you least someone put their big foot in their mouth.
