Sittin' in the mornin' sun
I'll be sittin' when the evenin' comes
Watchin' the bike roll in
Then I watch him roll away again, yeah
I'm sittin' in Marsh Gibbon
Watchin' the miles Steve has done, ooo
I'm just sittin' in Marsh Gibbon
Wastin' time

Sittin' here restin' my bones
And this loneliness won't leave me alone, yes
Forty five miles, I rode
Just to make Marsh Gibbon my home
Now I'm just gonna sit, in Marsh Gibbon
Watchin' the miles Steve has done, ooo yea
Sittin' in Marsh Gibbon
Wastin' time (whistle)

And for the Florida crew:-

Suwannee, how I love ya, how I love ya
My dear old Suwannee
I'd give the world to be
Among the folks in D-I-X-I even know my
Mammy's waitin' for me prayin' for me
Down by the Suwannee

Brits in Marsh Gibbon will see me no more
When I go to the Suwannee shore.

Dirty old B road, must you keep rolling, flowing into the night
People so busy, make me feel dizzy, taxi light shines so bright
But I don't, need no friends
As long as I gaze on Marsh Gibbon Sunset, I am in paradise
Every day I look at the world from my window
But chilly, chilly is the evening time, Marsh Gibbon's sunset's fine.

Teethgrinder's riding, Marsh Gibbon village, every other night
But he is not lazy, he wants to wander, stay on his bike all night
But I don't, feel afraid
As long as I gaze on Marsh Gibbon Sunset, I am in paradise
Every day I look at the world from my window
But chilly, chilly is the evening time, Marsh Gibbon's sunset's fine.

Millions of people swarming like flies 'round Marsh Gibbon village green
But Teethgrinder crosses over the river where he feels safe and sound
And he don't, need no friends
As long as he gazes on Marsh Gibbon Sunset, he is in paradise
Marsh Gibbon's sunset's fine.
Admission.  I'm actually not that fussed about cake.

In the future on Wikipedia, it will comment about Steve’s record insomuchas “Fans gathered on Saturdays and Sundays in a small Village called Marsh Gibbon.”

There's a lady who's sure all that glitters is gold
And she's riding a bike to Marsh Gibbon,

STOP! Don't you dare.  O:-)

And she's riding a bike to Marsh Gibbon,

...There's a songbird who sings
Sometimes all of our thoughts are Marsh Gibbon...
Not especially helpful or mature

Steve the magic cyclist,
Where has he gone?
He appears like a miracle,
In a town called Marsh Gibbon.

I was working in the lab late one night
When my eyes beheld an eerie sight
For my monster from his slab began to rise
And suddenly to my surprise

He did the marsh
He did the monster marsh

Many years ago, returning home from a tour of Wales, I rode through Marsh Gibbon and I have always loved the name. Go Steve!

I have visions of Steve arranging his route so to pass the 75,065 mile point as he draws into Marsh Gibbon, the streets lined with crowds of yacfers cheering, barbecuing sausages and toasting Marshgibbonsmallows while the residents look on in puzzlement.

Maybe even as the fifth in a record-breaking quinGibbon so he can be cheered through on each of the previous loops.
You are in a maze of twisty flat droves, all alike.

"And I am not frightened of cycling, any time will do, I
don't mind. Why should I be frightened of cycling?
There's no reason for it, you've gotta go sometime."

"If you can hear this whispering you are cycling."

"I never said I was frightened of cycling."

Name THAT tune ?  ;)

Time for some Burt Bacharach, I feel.

Do you know the way to Marsh Gibbon
I've been away so long. I may go wrong and lose my way
Do you know the way to Marsh Gibbon
I'm going back to find some peace of mind in Marsh Gibbon

M.K. is a great big freeway
Put a hundred down and buy a bike
In a week, maybe two, they'll make you a star
Weeks turn into years. How quick they pass
And all the stars that never were
Are parking cars and pumping gas

Do you know the way to Marsh Gibbon
They've got a lot of space.
There'll be a place where I can stay
I was born and raised in Marsh Gibbon
I'm going back to find some peace of mind in Marsh Gibbon

Fame and fortune is a magnet
It can pull you far away from home
With a dream in your heart you're never alone
Dreams turn into dust and blow away
And there you are without a friend
You pack your bike and ride away

I've got lots of friends in Marsh Gibbon
Do you know the way to Marsh Gibbon
Can't wait to get back to Marsh Gibbon

Gibbons don't have tails.
Close, but no cigar.

I like the Southern Bornean gibbon, hylobates albibarbis. White bearded gibbons, eh? My favourite sort.
