Crikey, that’s a long way at this time of year - 40 miles home into a strong Easterly.  I think I’ll pass.

Unless anyone fancies an Eastern Splinter Group...

No I won't.   I have just received an email inviting me to a job interview in Paddington at 9am Thursday morning so hooning over to High Roding and back won't be the best prep.  Have fun folks!

I hope it goes well OD.

I'm not able to set off until 20:00, so High Roding is over the horizon for me.

An Easterly Splinter group meet would be good.

The Layer Fox, Layer Breton Hare and Hounds,  aTollesbury Pub or even Maldon would all be possible.

Layer breton works best with me 17 miles back home, Tollesbury will be too far south.

Donkey & Buskins ?

I was in there on Friday evening and they had 3 guest beers on.

Just down the road from the Fox so It is close to Marks Tey if the Strangler wants to let the train take the strain and the same distance as the Fox from Sudbury.  Equally happy with the Layer Fox or anywhere that suits the Eastern Splinter Group really.

Perhaps, having sent the Witham peloton on a huge ride once again then not turned up, OD could make it there as well.

Will the Eastern Splinter Group also be at Spa Road at 1930? Or would that be more of a free-for-all?

The Eastern Splinter Group have no truck with this Spa nonsense, that's why we live in the East.

It also gives us a sensible distance between us and OD.

We could probably spin to a sensible point and then ride for an hour or so to the pub.

It is possible I will be riding up from Terling, depending on whether I go on the club ride tomorrow morning on my way into work.

The Eastern Splinter Group or ESG is a loose limbed collective formed on Anarcho-syndicalist principles, as such we say down with Spa road and all other manifestations of the oppressive regime.

So yeah, more of a free for all really.

Yes, we're not even a Group.

Eastern Easy Riders - we're hip about time but we just gotta go.

Only if you want to and are comfortable with it.

There are no "need tos" in the EER.

I think the Witham Chapter of the EER will probably convene at the Spa Rd Roundabout, or somewhere else, but the EER collective appears to be growing in free spirits in a common goal

Looks like the Western contingent might be in a minority! Who isn't splintering Eastwards?

Joss is, but I have still to see the reason to.
