The Bridge was superb. Not as subtle as The Killing, but more immediately accessible. Great characters - already love the relationship between the easy-going Danish cop and the intense Swedish cop. Another thing that's different to The Killing is the humour - there were some very funny moments. And some very grisly and/or tense moments. Nice line in mysterious subplots too.
The first ep is repeated on BBC4 tomorrow (Monday) night for anyone who missed it, and the second ep is repeated on Tuesday night. Highly recommended.
Did I mention Friday Night Lights already? Cheesy drama about an American high school football team on Sky Atlantic. It's all rather predictable and perhaps somewhat cliched, and probably aimed at a much younger audience than me, but it has real heart. And great characters. And it has completely sucked me in. I'm totally addicted to it, to the point where I really missed it when they skipped a week for the launch of Mad Men (which has completely passed me by). Go Panthers!
