Mildenhall Cycling Rally 23-26/8/13
« on: 22 April, 2013, 04:41:13 pm »
Booking online has just opened. http://www.mildenhallrally.org.uk/startpage.htm
I was going to try and organise getting bookings for all together but with moving this week I don't think I have the time to sort it out.
It does say to put down anyone you want to pitch next to, so if we put yacf down as the cycle club we may get booked together.

So who's going?

I might pop up for a day again if there's a non-too-speedy ride in the offing.

Have just booked online with Paypal and there is an option on there that asks who you want to camp next too.
I put yacf, so if others do we'll see what happens.

Hoping to come - but that will be dependant on work...

And you've reminded me that Kevin still hasn't told me how much I owe him, and the work was done over a year ago.

Dates noted, but still not sure what I'm up to around that time.  If I do make it, hopefully I'll be healthier than I was last year and actually be able to enjoy myself a bit.  ::-)

Any ideas for a YACF day/night ride?

ps the organisers seem to be really good about trying to get groups together on the ground as it were. Last year we were pretty much one group. The collective chinese take away in the semi light was rather good I seem to recall.

I'll be around for this. No camping though as my house is only 10 miles away!

There was a great WARTY ride from Mildenhall last year I remember, well I did some of it, but a couple of us got lost and then were forced to wait in the pub for ages. Torture, it was. And then on the way home I got ABSOLUTELY drenched after one of those huge dark RAINclouds wandered my way.

We are thinking about doing this. Mrs. Wow said she enjoyed it last year which, considering the difficulty I had in getting her camping, is a bit startling. It was her only camping trip of the year.

It currently depends on Other Things. I am very keen to make up for lost time, since we are not having our customary Main Tour in the May half-term hol.

Littlewheel and I have just booked a pitch. Or rather, I have booked the pitch as she is somewhat asleep. We will almost certainly be on our way back from a tour of the Isles, so if there are orders for "innocent whisky" ......................

Now we have a Duck at home, we are starting to plan ahead again.

Mildenhall is definitely a strong option.
Getting there...

Scratch that, he can't make it know. If the spaces fill up he has a pitch that he'd sell on.
We're still going, and currently looking at a 4 day ride home around East Anglia

We're going with the new (to us) camper. Whole family, I think my son will hate me.
